Coping with day-to-day aspects of living with Crohn's disease isn't easy. There are both physical, emotional and social problems to deal with. One of the most common social problems associated with Crohn’s disease is toileting. For teenagers and children, this aspect of the disease can be an embarrassing subject that is difficult to overcome. For example, founder of Crohn’s Directory, Oliver Wassall, says “I have found that most processed foods create problems for me, and stress also seems to aggravate my stomach. If I know I am going on long journeys where access to a toilet could be a problem I will avoid these foods all together”.
